Get Served, Pasta

Most people associate it with waakye because they find it as an integeral part of garnishing it. Sometime ago, it was popularly referred to as  “Taalia,” now it has managed to gain another popular not because of waakye though. This time it’s known and has become a popular meal for many people because of the brand “Indomie.” With more people referring to this meal as “indomie,” it is good to learn that not all pasta is indomie and spaghetti is a type of pasta.

This is the story behind pasta - The first reference to the traditional Italian meal is dated as far back as 1154 in Sicily.  The delicacy is a noodle made from an unleavened dough of a durum wheat flour mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or various shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking. Pasta can also be made with flour from other cereals or grains.

Due to its versatility, pasta comes in many forms or varieties. Whilst in Ghana pasta typically makes the main course at dinner, it sometimes finds its place as a starter elsewhere in the world. It takes approximately five to ten minutes to get pasta ready for the eating, however what makes pasta mouthwatering is the garnishing most people add to it. Check out these varieties of pasta from some Jumia Food listed restaurants in Accra:
