DO NOT BE STRESSED OUT, JUMIA FOOD IS EASY TO USE

Ghana’s two-time mobile app of the year, Jumia Food, then Hello Food, is getting bigger and better each day with more people downloading and using the food ordering app.

Available on android, IOS and windows, the about 15 megabytes’ app has seemingly thrown a few of its users into a state of confusion after it migrated on to the Jumia platform. The good news is; Jumia

Food works just like Hello Food used to. In a phone interview with the Marketing Manager of Ghana’s premiere online food market place, he explained how the app works and cleared the air of any form of misunderstanding.

He said:
All a prospective user needs to do is visit the play store on android, the apple store on IOS or windows store to download the app.

After downloading the app, it is advised that the user creates an account on the app. This would help you receive notifications on what is new on the Jumia Food market and make usage more interactive. You may also log in with your Facebook account.

How is food ordered on Jumia?
1.       The first step to ordering a meal on Jumia Food is selecting your location. This can be done manually or automatically (with the help of Google’s map). A list of restaurants close to your location pops up. Estimated time of delivery is displayed next to each restaurant. If you do not find a restaurant close to your location, Jumia Food gives you the option to suggest the restaurant to be added to the list. Nonetheless, deliveries are area specific that is meals are delivered to certain areas within a radius from the location of the restaurant. This is to ensure consumers have their meals delivered in the best ready to eat state.

2.       After choosing your restaurant, a list of meals available on menu of the restaurant pops up. Choose the meal you want; the order drops into your basket as you choose. When done choosing your meal, click on the basket to move to the next step. Each meal listed on the menu comes along with its cost.

3.       Checking out is the next and final step after picking your preferred cuisine. At the checkout stage, you are directed to choose your payment plan and delivery details. Fill in your name and details of where the delivery is to be made. You are also given the option to select a payment plan. A code will be sent to you once your check out is completed.

Mr. Adjahoe also made it known that Jumia Food is ever ready to assist customers who still encounter difficulty with using the app. “All you have to do is call our customer service personnel on 0571000600/0544035506, and they will attend to you,” he added.
