TEN LESSONS I HAVE LEARNT FROM SHATTA WALE

Shatta Wale
First surfacing on the Ghanaian music scene as Bandana, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., now popularly known in showbiz as Shatta Wale, has come a long way an has good lessons to teach many entertainment lovers around.

Looking at the career of the self-acclaimed dancehall king who has released hits after hits since he resurfaced on the Ghanaian music terrain, I have identified 10 lessons worth keeping as you find your way to the top of your career.

  1.     Out of the worst situations cometh the best experience.
  2.    Prove critics wrong when they think you do not deserve to be there.
  3.    One day, the right time, your light will shine.
  4.    Never be content with where you are, strive to move higher.
  5.    It is the people who make “people.” No man is an island.
  6.    Hard work pays, but in its own time. Never give up.
  7.    Face your competitors squarely, do not run from them when you come face to face with them.
  8.    Enjoy your time to the fullest when it comes, but do not lose focus on the goal.
  9.    Don’t be dumb to the truth, speak it out loud and clear.
  10.    Always give thanks to the Maker who made you “YOU.”
